What do you do for a living ?

Just curious, what do you do for a living ? I'm a Captain with the Jackson Fire Department and also work at McKeller Sipes Regional Airport as a firefighter (ARFF) and also a Sheriff's deputy during scheduled airline flights.

We've changed Chiefs three times since Owen Collins( he used to work at TN. State fire school), we just got a new chief this Month. He was one of our training officer's several years ago, his name is James Pearson.

I attended their first TN accredited officers course with about 20 Chiefs from through out the state. They had worked for months one this. We had to preplan a bulk fuel plant in Merfreesbouro. I had a fuel fire on the ground and elected to protect the exposures and let it burn. Owen and a guy name Baker freaked. As Fire fighters we naturally extinguish fires. I told him we would eliminate environmental problems also. Needless to say they changed that senerio. That was in the late 70's or early 80's What is he doing now!; ▶ Reply to This

The last time I talked to him he was ferrying house boats and cabin cruisers down to the Gulf of Mexico for some company. I took the Officer's class here in Jackson, I believe it was Officer 1,2,&3 from him and Jerry Cruise, they both were pretty rough instructors and demanded perfection.

I am from Knoxville but spent a number of weekends for three years in Jackson as part of the Army National Guard. That was late 80's early 90's. I am a law firm administrator (non-lawyer) and handle the business side of an 8 attorney firm. I got back into riding a couple of years ago and currently have an 06 Roadstar (Yamaha) I enjoy riding in the Smokies and have even been on the notorious Dragon a couple of times. I see someone is organizing a MRCA event in July at the Dragon. Will probably try to make that since it is less than an hour from my house.
