On my Vulcan 800, I switched to a mustang seat and then found a 2" extension for the risers that didn't require and changes to the stock cables, (found that on Ebay) I can now ride all day without being uncomfortable. I know Mustang seat are pricey,…

Thanks for sharing this site with us. Thought I was pretty good, until I tried the "hazards". Plan on going back regularly to help keep my awareness up. Sent the site to everyone I know that rides. Everyone could use it.

Frenchie, you sound like a first class "Old Fart". Every biker makes some type of change to his bike. We are all different, and want our bikes to reflect our personal tastes -whatever they may be. Why are you so concerned about what other people do…

Hey Jennings, I have Cobra Drag Pipes on my bike. They make plenty of sound, and the baffles are easy to remove if you want even louder pipes.

I'm sure Frenchie will have plenty to say, as soon as he finds this discussion!

The stock tires (Bridgestone) of my 2003 Vulcan lasted - 18000 on the front tire and 20000 on the rear. My son says he can't more than 5000 on the tires on his Harley (Dunlop)

Martin, I agree with you. One of the first things I did when I got my bike was to change the pipes. They don't have to be overly loud, but a little more sound is a good thing, as far as I'm concerned. By the way, I'm 63 and I don't think I'm old!!!

Hi, Thanks for the short out. I've lerked on this site for a long time, but didn't join until I had to put my 2 cents in on the T-Rex and Spyder and tell about my unique ride.
I have a friend who has a Goldwing and a T-Rex. Depending on his mood is how he chooses his ride while his wife rides her Goldwing trike.
Luther is a little town NE of OKC on the Mother Road just east of the Round Barn in Arcadia. Jae
