Enjoy life --------- Dirt Roads

Dirt Roads

I came across a dirt road,
And thought I heard it say,
I know you’ve driven asphalt,
But please turn down this way.
And so I answered the dirt road,
And rode down its first mile,
The things I saw as I rolled on,
Caused me to slow and smile.

The dust that played beneath my wheels,
And swirled so gently round,
Brought a smile unto my weary face,
And chased away my frown.
It brought back memories I had forgotten,
Of days so long ago,
When mostly there were dirt roads,

Hi Cowboy,
I see you are in Honesdale... I ride up through there all the time. We have a nice area to ride, don't we?
Ride safe!

Cowboy, I know it is a little distance for you but check out the meet and greet on the trip planning forum, it would be great if you could be there, free camping as well

Hey Cowboy, was just reading the Blueridge camping thread and saw you might be thinking about riding The Dragon. My husband and I did that in early November of '07, try to do it in the middle of the week when there are less people so you don't have anyone up your butt! Check out "Deals Gap" on your computer, that's the little mc resort just at one end of the Dragon. The run is US129, in NC, just south of where it bumps with TN. This link has all sorts of info including maps and directions. Enjoy!!
