What kind of grease do you recommend for the brake and clutch levers (handle bar)? I am replacing the levers and shoulder bolts.... Should it be moly grease, or lithium? Lithium is more stable at high temps (think sunlight on black metal), but has…

My favorite music for long trips whether driving in my car or on the bike is Natalie Cole's "Unforgettable" album. The smoothness of her voice takes the edge off the cracks in the pavement. Although..... So far I have not seen one song that I woul…

OK, this is really going to stir the pot.... Differentiating bikers from riders is like trying to separate the sexual tastes of men.... We all like riding.....and getting the juices flowing! Duane. PS... this might get me banned.... but think ab…

Thanks Dave, I'll follow your instructions if any more books show up. I kept the first book for my son, but I'm returning the second book, and paying the postage because I opened the box. I included a note on the invoice to please not send me any mo…

Hey Joe, A couple of things from my point of view. The best disposable ear plugs I have found are "Hearo's". Get 'em at Walgreen's. About 34 db of noise reduction, and you can still carry on a conversation and hear traffic around you. Roll them up…

Richard, Interesting name! I did look it up.... Buchephalus was Alexander the Great's war horse for those of you who did not take the time to check it out. The statue of the horse has a really classic pose. Black, powerful and classic great reason…

Roy,
Your bike sounds real nice.... Even elegant.

I agree 100% about the center stand. I understand clearance and all that rot, but if you plan on even doing basic care of your bike.... well, you need that stand.

I am also looking at security stuff, but with the exception of a brake lever lock I don't know if I will go beyond that point. Lo-Jack sounds interesting though.... wonder how much that would cost?

I think my varied taste in music is largely due to having worked as a radio mispronouncer back in my 20's. You can only imagine how tiring it is to hear the same song for the 35th time this week (and that is only your shift!).

Speaking of radio.... I am not the biggest fan of public radio... I will not even touch the area of public funding of the competition. I am a news junkie; I wake up to the morning news, I drive with news on... If I do have music on (can't stand to listen to Sean Hannity, Mark Levine or Michael Savage) I station flip whenever there is either a commercial or a song that I don't like at the moment.

Have a fantastic weekend.

Duane, I have an 07 Bonneville. It is not a T100 per se but I added the tach and it had a custom painted tank. Silver with a black stripe lengthwise. I also added a center stand. I just don't understand street bikes not having center stands. I also added the scorpio alarm system. I want to keep this one. It also came with a lot of extra chrome.
With your varied taste in music, I am guessing that you are a public radio fan. If so don't worry I won't tell anyone. I listen to wuwf out of Pensacola.

Hello Duane,
I was responding to your response when I think you e-mailed me or something and everything became real small. I requested you as a friend. Perhaps that will make this easier. 07 Bonneville.

Duane,
I have an 07 Bonneville. I love it. I enjoyed 6,000 miles on it last year. It is a far better bike than I am a rider. It has handling potential that I haven't explored yet. But it keeps telling me to push a little harder. Walnecks has great articles for the restorer.

Duane, I looked through my stack of old Walnecks magazines for an article. I could have sworn they had an article on Britech. I didn't find it but did find an article on M.A.P. Check out Walnecks.
