Hey Mikia, I saw what you wrote Amber back on June15 about women being more involved with biking. Just want to tell ya about something a while back. In 1967 I was hang'n with a gorgeous girl who was the 1st female biker I ever met. Motorbikes were big then. I had a 85cc Kawasaki but SHE had a Harley 250 Sprint. LOL She was out classing a lot of the guys at that time. Male ego being what it is, and since we were really tight, yes, I got myself a Harley 250 Sprint also. There weren't many girls biking back then, but the ones that were, were really cool. You girls are fooling in the footsteps of some really cool chicks. SO ENJOY !! LOL Ride-on, Wes
I love busas, that was my second pick for a bike love my vrod best but enjoyed competing against a busa at the salt flats a few years ago, since then I have retired from trying to break the 150mph game with a bike out of the box and the busa there with me got to 161mph and it was scary. welcome to the club. madmax
Riding has been great our here lately. Sunnyvale is in the Silicon Valley area near San Jose. We have been experiencing some mild weather - low to mid 70's instead of mid to high 80's, which means I don't end up roasting in my gear. Went riding yesterday with a few of the guys. I try to go on a ride every weekend. We ended up riding from Saratoga up Hwy 9 to Boulder Creek and on to Felton, then over Empire Grade to the coast. Stopped at a winery along the way and had a taste. Then down Hwy 1 to Santa Cruz where we had tacos and burritos for lunch. Then back over Hwy 17 on to home. The weather on the coast was lovely – sunny and mild, just an absolutely perfect day.
