We both grew up in So Cal and neither of us want to go back there in particular. We're looking for something stateside that's close to the border, since we have a place in Cabo San Lucas and would be running back and forth. Yuma looked a fair run ...
Yuma, Arizona is the pit of the US, spent some time there, hot as hell and scorpions and snakes and a Marine Corps Air Station, crazy marines (only kidding). go further west and north a few hundrd miles
Hubby and I are thinking of purchasing property somewhere around Yuma Arizona. I've been online and through the Chamber of Commerce and a variety of real estate agents. I'm curious if there's any of us that actually live in that area, or have, and...
Most recent position was 19 1/2 years as a Western Union phone operator -- you know, the one's you called to send your telegrams and wire money world wide. I was one of those ladies that handled all your credit card transactions and made sure you ...
My 1st baby was a 94c.i. HD Herritage Classic; but upgraded to one gorgeous metalic purple, mystic flamed, 107c.i. 2004 Big Dog Mastiff -- Hubby's is a stand out yellow, shredded in charcoal gray, 113 c.i. 2004 Swift Punisher.
About Me:
Mother, Wife and Grandma -- transplanted to St Louis Missouri by employer, from the West Coast in early 90's . . . now employer has out-sourced all U.S. based positions over seas . Virtually, hubby and I feel like two fish stranded in the Mid-West, while our Pacific Surf is calling louder and louder by the day. I think we made our first mistake when we traveled to Cabo San Lucas last year and spending 10 days on the marina in 90 degree weather, listening to the surf, enjoying the sun, people and atmosphere . . . it all just reminded us of our childhood homes in Cali. Now I gotta go back!!!
Favorite Music:
I've always been the rowdy one . . . love Sammy Hagar . . . love his music too -- really love spending time at Cabo Wabo in Cabo San Lucas, BCS; otherwise, if it's loud (and you can understand the words) it's great with me! Motley Cure, Steppenwolf, Sammy Hagar, Quiet Riot . . . and in a more mellow moment, give me my Trace Atkins.
Favorite TV Shows:
All time favorite is NCIS -- I guess primarily because of Abby. She's got the individuality thing going that sets her apart from all the suits. Intelligent and walks to her own drummer . . . much like me. I hate stereotypes and she's got it all going and just doesn't give a damn about what anyone else thinks!
Hey girl! You have more crazy stuff happen than anyone I know!!! I look out at our barn and wonder what it would look like if that happened. Whoa! Had to go out and kick the barn and make sure it wasn't going down, LOL! We are getting a break in the weather for the next couple of days. Hopefully I can get the bike out for longer than a few of hours!
Hey Velvet, what's up? We gave the kids their dirt bike Saturday morning. OMG they were excited. Spent the afternoon letting them ride it! My oldest (11) is a natural. She got on, killed it a few times then took off around the barn for a few laps!! She told us she doesn't want to drive the go cart anymore she only wants to ride the dirt bike.
Her sister (9) popped a wheelie trying to take off! Once she stopped I told her "Nice wheelie, that's something I have never even done!" She scared herself a little, but she got right back at it. Heck I even got to take my bike out for a few hours Saturday. It was a good weekend.
Darn that road story was scary!!! Thankfully I don't have anything to tell like that.....yet. Can't ever rule anything out, about the time I do sister fate steps in and kicks my ass! Just bought a dirt bike for the girls, haven't told them yet. They are going to freak!! Can't wait to see them riding it!
I hear ya on the "airing out" of the men!!! I told my hubby about it and he figures he can get the old Honda to Springfield with no problems. Now if we can get the weather to warm up that would be sweet!! I got to take a short ride today. Can't wait for the longer runs!
I used to live closer but had to move where the jobs are, yep it stinks. Hey Springfield, Il is in the middle for both of us. Two hours for you and two for me. I bet we could shave some time of of that, LOL! Oh well maybe someday. Gotta get this weather to cooperate first!
