A lot of responses touched on this in different words, But a minimum of 70% of your braking should be done before you enter your turns. minimum. Also this applies to wet or dry roads, and it may not seem like it, but, A rolling tire stops faster tha…

Riding in the rain is like riding at night or riding in a strong wind, if you use common sense and take it easy, you won't have any trouble. Some folks don't like doing either to the point that they are a danger to themselves and others, and try to…

Jeff: Lot of good advise except, my opinion, folowing a car close enough to ride in it's tracks. First of all, that vehicle will throw water up on you and it will be dirty. If you have a windshield you won't be ab;e to see through it. I would prefer…

Thanks for the welcome, I started riding in 2005 now I'm on my second bike the first one was a Kawasaki Vulcan 800 Classic, outgrew it in a hurry (needed more power for the long trips) so I traded it in for my present ride a 2008 Kawasaki 1600 Nomad LOVE THIS BIKE!!!. It rides as good as it looks, About riding in the rain all I can add is keep it slow especially in curves and turns and keep your spacing. Ride on!

my days off are usually during the week, but if you know head your coming south e mail me, i only live about 7 mile from the moonshine general store if you ever heard of it. ride down and we'll get a hamburger. i am probably a hundred mile from champaign. just be here by 11 a.m., she shuts the grill off at 12;30 on the dot and it's not as crowded at that time.
