Hi Y'all,
Been ridin' for about three decades now... Met tons of good folks from all across the country thanks to motorcyclin'. I ride a bobbed rat Goldwing which I have owned (in various forms) for nearly 20 years and I recently picked up an '82 Goldwing Aspencade "garbage wagon" which is gonna' be my "state-to-state" ride.

Been into "organized" motorcycling in the Metro St. Louis area for about 16 years now... Served as my local ABATE Chapter's President for five years and in a bunch of different positions for another five or so. Had the supreme compliment of being chosen to go to Washington D.C. for a week to lobby our legislators about motorcycling issues back in 2002. In fact, I was in D.C. the day we began dropping bombs on Iraq. I had never seen a protest march before, and believe me, it was something to witness as protesters squared off with police while holding signs and chanting "Drop Bush, Not Bombs ". Soon after my return from the Washington trip my health went south and that, coupled with life's normal yah yah conspired to engulf my life... Spent many years sick, tired and barely staying in the wind, but 2009 has been a good year with lots of activities and ridin' and I am hopeful that 2010 will be even better.

In my "real life", I'm an 8th grade special education teacher in Alton, IL serving kiddos with severe behavior disorders. Always been drawn to the "darker" side of life, so becoming a teacher for kids with behavior disorders after hooking up with Uncle Sam's traveling road show was a pretty natural transition. Each year I go through the same "I can't believe this guy is my teacher" disbelief as the kids file in, spot my tattoos and piercings and wonder what they've gotten themselves into. = ) I really like my job and am thankful to be able to say that. I guess my work attitude comes from the fact that I kind've know where the kids are coming from and how important is for them to be able to manage their behavior. In my case, good ol' Uncle Sam gets credit for helping me straighten out. I've been teaching at the same school for almost11 years now and working with kiddos who have behavior disorders for 17 years.
